Keep your products simple: a shell that fits a standard low voltage module is easier to explain than a custom circuit.

How do you print shells that diffuse light well?

Thin walls let light through, so print the shade in white or light filament at a low infill setting and test the glow. A natural white filament often gives a softer look than a colored one.

Print a single sample, place a light module inside and look at it in a dark room. Thicker areas appear darker, so adjust wall thickness until the glow is even. Keep every light source away from the plastic.

What should you know about heat and safety?

Use cool running LED modules, never a bare bulb, because plastic softens with heat. Leave room for air to move and avoid enclosing a hot power supply.

Buy electronic parts from reputable suppliers and follow the rules for electrical products where you sell. Ask a local expert if you are unsure. Tell buyers plainly which parts are included and that the shell is not a certified light fitting.

How do you present a lamp so it sells?

Photograph it switched on in a dim room and again in daylight. Both views matter, because the glow sells the idea and the daylight shot shows the design.

Write clear titles, for example printed night light shell for nursery. List what is in the box, and note the power source. Package carefully, with foam around the shade, to avoid cracks.

You can sell physical items you print using the Etsi3D commercial STL bundle. The digital files themselves can not be resold or shared. Be clear in the listing about which parts you include and that the buyer gets a printed shell only.

Which filament suits lamp shells?

PLA is common and easy to print. PETG handles warmth a little better and is slightly tougher. With either one, use cool LEDs, keep the light away from the plastic, and test your shell for several hours before selling.
