Resin shows fine detail best and gives smooth surfaces, which matters when a piece sits on the skin. Some FDM printers can make bolder pieces with a small nozzle and slow settings.

• Wash and cure resin pieces fully before they touch skin.
• Ask about skin sensitivity and be open about the material used. A clear note about what the piece is made of helps a buyer decide, and it avoids awkward messages later.
• Avoid claims such as hypoallergenic unless you can prove them.
• Offer a cord or chain only if you have tested it.

How do you finish a ring or pendant?

Sand lightly, polish where the design allows and paint only if the finish will not rub off with wear. A clear coat can help, but test it first.

Bright metallic effects come from paint or plating done by someone qualified. Describe the piece as printed jewellery and be honest about how long it should last with normal care.

How do you sell wearable prints?

Photograph on a hand or a neutral stand with soft light and a macro shot of the detail. Show the size against a coin or ruler.

Should I offer custom engraving?
