What can you resell with a commercial STL bundle?

The license is about physical goods: what you may sell is the item that comes off your printer. The digital model files are for your own use only and cannot be sold, passed on or given away. That single line shapes every plan, so settle it before you think about income.

Your profit comes from the printed product, which means material, time and finishing.

Where does the money come from?

From the gap between what a printed item costs you and what a buyer pays for it. Count filament, machine time, power, failed prints, packaging, shipping materials and platform fees. Then add your own working hours.

• Write one cost sheet per product and update it when prices change.
• Track time spent on cleaning, painting and packing.
• Compare your price with similar listings before you publish.
• Keep spare stock of fast sellers, but print slow ones to order.

What should you never do with the files?

Do not upload them to a marketplace as downloads, post them in a group, send them to friends or put them in a cloud folder that others can open. Even a free share breaks the license. Keep the files on your own computer and back them up privately.

If a buyer asks for the file, explain politely that you sell the finished print. A short, friendly reply is enough, and you can offer to make a custom size or color instead. Most customers who want the object are happy to receive it ready-made, and you keep your license safe.

How do you build a sustainable shop?

Choose a theme, print a small range and test demand with a few listings. Reorder what sells, and drop what does not. Learn how your costs behave on different shapes. Tall, thin items fail more often than low, wide ones, and painted items take more of your time than raw ones. Once you know this, you can choose the products that give you the best return for your hours and stop printing the ones that quietly eat your margin.

Can I sell digital downloads of the models?

No. The license is for selling physical prints. Digital files must not be sold, shared or uploaded. If a platform lists you as a digital seller, you may be in the wrong category.

Can I sell prints on several marketplaces?

Yes. You may sell the physical prints on any platform or in person. Keep your listings consistent and follow the rules of each platform.

What counts as a safe way to share a picture?

A photo of your printed item is fine. A screenshot of the model file or a view that lets someone copy it is not. Keep photos of the physical print.
